You notice it first thing in the morning. The line that used to go away by the time you had finished your coffee, and now does not.
This is the richest set we carry. Six pieces built on white truffle extract, with a sleep mask no other set here has.
What it does for you
- Tuber magnatum — white truffle extract. The maker describes it as rich in adenosine, peptides, eighteen amino acids and vitamins, and sells it on antioxidants and on the look of firmness. It is what you are paying the extra for.
- Niacinamide. Widely used for evening out tone and for the look of texture. It works quietly and it works on most skins.
- Lanolin. An occlusive. It seals in what the toner and lotion put down, and it is most of why this set feels richer than the other two.
- Centella asiatica, rosemary and verbena. The maker groups these three as gentle hydration, for skin that has turned reactive as well as lined.
- A sleep mask. A heavier cream working for six or seven hours, two or three nights a week, without having to wear it under your day makeup.
What is in the box
- Cleanser. A cream wash rather than a foaming one.
- Essence toner. The watery step, straight after cleansing.
- Essence lotion. Thicker than the toner, lighter than the cream.
- Eye cream. The smallest tube, and the one to be sparing with.
- Nourishing cream. Your daily moisturiser, morning and night.
- Sleep mask. Leave-on, overnight. Not a mask you rinse off.
The box measures 31 × 21cm.
How to use it
Morning: cleanse, toner, essence lotion, eye cream, cream.
Evening: the same, and swap the cream for the sleep mask two or three nights a week.
There is no sunscreen in this set. Keep wearing yours — the Sakura set is the one that includes one.

Ingredients

Before you start
Contains lanolin. It is a known sensitiser, so skip this set if you react to lanolin or wool alcohols.
Patch test anything new. A little on your inner arm, then give it 24 hours. Stop using it if your skin reacts.
