Delivery & returns
The real numbers.
Your order is made overseas and comes to us before it comes to you. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise a date we cannot keep.
Up to 11 weeks
From our supplier to our hands. The long leg, and the one we do not control.
1–5 days
We check your order against your list and inspect every item, then repack it and courier it to your door.
Up to 12 weeks
The outside figure, and the one we hold ourselves to. We email you at both handovers.
What delivery costs
- R100 standard, anywhere in South Africa, whatever the order is worth
- R150 express — see the note below before you choose it
- No surcharge for outlying areas, and nothing added after checkout. That is the whole price.
What Express actually does
It does not make your order arrive sooner. Express is a faster courier for the last leg only — from us to your door, after your order has reached us from the supplier and we have checked it.
The long part of the wait is the supplier leg, and Express does nothing to it. Whichever you choose, the total is still up to 12 weeks. We are not able to promise a 1 to 2 day delivery on any order, because we do not hold stock.
Choose Standard unless you specifically want the final hop to move quicker once we email you to say your parcel has reached us.
Who delivers
The Courier Guy and Aramex. You receive a tracking number by email when your parcel leaves us. Someone must be there to sign.
Where we deliver
All nine provinces. We deliver in South Africa only and cannot ship abroad.
If your parcel cannot be delivered
If the address you gave us is wrong or incomplete, or nobody can take delivery after the courier has tried, the parcel comes back to us. We hold it and email you.
Redelivery is R100, because it is a second courier journey, and we tell you before we send it. If you would rather cancel at that point we refund the goods, but not the original R100 — that journey was made.
If the failure was ours or the courier's, none of that applies. We redeliver at our cost or refund you in full, and you choose which.
Tell us as soon as you can if your address changes. Before dispatch, correcting it costs nothing.
Why it takes this long
We do not hold stock. Your order goes to the manufacturer when you buy it, which is why the first leg can run to eleven weeks. It also means nothing sits in a warehouse for a year before it reaches you.
If that changes and we start holding stock locally, this page changes with it.
Cancelling, and what it costs
You may cancel at any time. Because we buy your order from the manufacturer once you place it, what a cancellation costs depends on when you tell us. Here is the whole schedule, in advance, so that nothing is a surprise later.
- Within 2 business days
- Before your order goes to our supplier. Full refund of everything you paid, including delivery. Nothing deducted, no reason needed.
- Before we dispatch
- Once we have ordered from the supplier, our money is committed for up to eleven weeks. Full refund less a R100 cancellation charge — a reasonable charge under section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act.
- Within 7 days of delivery
- Section 44 of the ECT Act. Full refund of everything you paid, including delivery, with no cancellation charge. You pay only the direct cost of sending the goods back, which is the only charge the Act allows us.
- Day 8 to day 30, unopened
- Our own offer, beyond what the law requires. Refund of the goods less a 15% restocking charge. Delivery is not refunded and you pay the return. The item must be unopened with its seal intact.
We charge nothing where the cancellation follows the death or hospitalisation of the person the order was for — section 17(5) of the CPA requires that, and so would we — or where we have missed our own 12-week commitment.
Returns
Always returnable, always free. Anything that arrives damaged, faulty, unsafe, or that is not what you ordered. We pay that return, and you choose a refund, a replacement or a repair. No cancellation or restocking charge ever applies, and section 56 of the CPA gives you six months on goods that fail.
Unopened, within 30 days. Unused, in the original packaging, seal intact. The 15% above applies from day 8.
Opened skincare cannot be returned. Cosmetics are goods that by their nature cannot be returned once the seal is broken — the exception in section 42(2)(h) of the ECT Act. It does not apply to anything faulty or wrongly supplied. If you have an allergy or a sensitivity, email us before you order and we will send you everything the manufacturer has given us, or keep the product sealed until you have checked the printed label.
Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 are in addition to all of this and are not limited by anything on this page. The full detail is in our terms and conditions.
If your order is late
If we pass 12 weeks, email us and you may cancel for a full refund. The figure we hold ourselves to is the one printed above, not a hopeful one.
