Kessa Exfoliating Body Mitt

Your legs feel rough under your hand, and body lotion just sits on top. This mitt is the shower step that gets your skin ready for it.

What it does for you

The fabric is coarse and grippy. Drawn over warm, wet skin, it buffs away dry, dull flakes and leaves your body feeling smooth. Lotion goes on more evenly afterwards. It is also a good step a day before you put on self-tan.

How to use it

Spend at least five minutes in a warm shower or bath first, so your skin is soft. Slip the mitt on and wet it. Use long, firm but comfortable strokes over arms, legs and back, one area at a time. Rinse your skin, pat it dry and put on body lotion. Once or twice a week is enough. Rinse the mitt well afterwards and hang it to dry by its loop.

Material

A woven exfoliating fabric with an elastic cuff, as described by the manufacturer. Check the label on your packaging before first use.

Before you start

Body only, never your face. Do not use it on broken, sunburnt, irritated or inflamed skin. Do not use it straight after shaving or waxing; wait at least a day. Start with light pressure the first time and stop if your skin turns red or stings. Wear sunscreen on exfoliated skin that sees the sun. Never share your mitt, and wash it in warm water and mild soap each week.
