Electric Scalp Massager

Some days sit right on top of your head. You rub your temples at the desk and it does not quite reach. This is eight soft claws that hum against your scalp while you sit still for five minutes.

What it does for you

Eight flexible claws spread over the curve of your head and vibrate gently when you press the button. The tips are rounded, and the claws bend to follow your head. It feels like slow fingertips moving through your hair. You can also hold it against your neck, shoulders, back or legs after a long day.

What's in the box

One scalp massager, white with a blue collar. It is about 30 cm long and 20 cm across the claws. The claws come off the handle, so it packs flat into a bag.

How to use it

Put two batteries in the handle. Use it on dry hair. Lower the claws onto your head, press the button and let the vibration do the work. Move it slowly over your scalp for five to ten minutes. Press the button again to stop. Lift it straight up rather than pulling it, so long hair does not tangle.

Power. It runs on two batteries that fit inside the handle. There is no charging cable and no plug. Batteries are not listed in the box, so have two ready.

Is this the one for you

Yes, if you want a few quiet minutes at the end of the day. No need to ask anyone for a head rub. Perhaps not, if you want something for wash day. The Shampoo Brush is made for the shower and needs no batteries.

Before you start

For the scalp and body only. Keep it away from your face and eyes. Do not use it on broken, sore or sunburnt skin, or on a rash. Avoid any area with a recent injury or surgery. Keep the pressure light and keep it moving. Stop if anything feels painful. It is not waterproof. Keep it out of the bath and shower, and never use it with wet hands. Take the batteries out if it will stand unused for a few weeks. Do not mix old and new batteries. Long or fine hair can catch in the claws, so lift rather than drag. Check the claw tips before each use and stop using it if one breaks. Keep it away from small children.
