Amethyst Facial Roller and Gua Sha

Some evenings your face holds the whole day. Your jaw is tight and your forehead has not let go since lunch. This is a cool, smooth stone and five slow minutes.

What it does for you

The stone stays cool against warm skin. Rolled or drawn slowly over a little oil or cream, it turns putting on your skincare into a massage. Your serum or cream spreads further, and your face gets a few unhurried minutes.

What's in the box

Choose one piece or a set. The roller is about 14.5 cm long. It has a large stone for cheeks and forehead and a small one for under the eyes. The heart gua sha is a flat stone of about 6 by 8 cm that fits the jaw and cheekbone. The wing gua sha is longer, about 5 by 10.5 cm, for the neck and shoulders. The toothed gua sha has a ridged edge for the scalp and the back of the neck. The two sets are the roller with the heart gua sha, or the roller with the heart and the wing.

How to use it

Start with clean skin and a few drops of oil, serum or cream so the stone glides. Use light pressure. Move upward and outward, from the middle of your face to your hairline, three to five strokes on each area. Hold the gua sha almost flat against your skin, not on its edge. Wipe the stone with a damp cloth and mild soap afterwards and dry it.

Is this the one for you

Yes, if you want a calm few minutes with your routine. It also makes your cream or serum go further. Perhaps not, if you are looking for something to change dry or flushed skin by itself. Material

Stone named as amethyst by the manufacturer, with a metal frame on the roller. Every stone is cut from natural material, so the colour and pattern of yours will differ from the pictures.

Before you start

Never drag the stone over dry skin. Do not use it on broken skin, sunburn, active breakouts, rashes or new piercings. Keep the pressure light, as pressing hard can bruise or leave red marks. Stone chips and breaks if it is dropped. Check it before each use and stop using a piece that is chipped or cracked, because the edge can cut. Keep it away from small children.
